Nicole Shim is a dedicated attorney with a strong commitment to advocating for children and families in the field of special education law. She brings a unique combination of legal expertise and educational experience to her practice, making her a compassionate and effective advocate for her clients.
Ms. Shim holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education and is a certified special education teacher. During her undergraduate studies at Saint Joseph’s University, she worked closely with individuals on the autism spectrum through the Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support, deepening her understanding of the challenges faced by children with special needs and their families.
After earning her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School, Ms. Shim served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Pamela D’Arcy, J.S.C., in the Children in Court, Family Part in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In this role, she gained valuable experience in litigation involving the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), handling a wide range of matters impacting children and families. Ms. Shim also worked at the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, where she continued to represent DCP&P, further honing her skills in child welfare and family law.
Admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Ms. Shim combines her personal passion, professional training, and legal knowledge to provide thoughtful, results-driven representation to her clients. Her background in both education and law positions her as a powerful advocate for students with special needs and their families.
